Cull Privacy Policy

Overview

Cull is built by Qyvo with privacy as a core principle. Your data belongs to you. This policy explains how Cull handles your information.

Data Collection

Cull does not send any personal data to Qyvo. We don't run servers that receive your information. There are no user accounts, no tracking, and no analytics. No third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs are included.

Data on Device

Cull scans your photo library and caches asset metadata (file sizes, dimensions, formats, dates, media types) locally on your device using Core Data. This cache is used to build the treemap and dashboard. None of this data is accessible to Qyvo or any third party.

Cull also stores a log of deletion history (bytes reclaimed and item count per session) locally via Core Data. App preferences are stored in UserDefaults.

Photo Library Access

Cull requests read and write access to your photo library. Read access is used to scan assets and extract metadata (file size, resolution, format, dates, favourite status). Write access is required by iOS to perform deletions.

Cull can delete photos and videos from your library, but only when you explicitly select items and confirm the deletion. Every deletion triggers the standard iOS system confirmation prompt. Deleted items go to the Recently Deleted album where they can be recovered for 30 days. Cull never deletes anything automatically.

Colour Analysis

When using the colour grouping feature, Cull analyses a small thumbnail of each photo on-device to determine its dominant colour. This analysis happens entirely on your device and no image data is transmitted.

Permissions

• Photo library access (read and write) lets Cull scan your library to calculate storage and delete items you select. Deletions always require confirmation through the iOS system prompt.

Cull does not access your camera, microphone, location, or contacts. It accesses disk space information to report available storage.

No Cloud Services

Cull does not use iCloud sync, CloudKit, or any cloud service. While it can detect whether your photos are stored in iCloud, all of Cull's own data stays on your device.

In-App Purchases

Cull offers a one-time Pro purchase processed entirely by Apple via StoreKit. Qyvo has no access to your payment information.

Children's Privacy

Cull does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. No personal information is required to use the app.
