Frequently Asked Questions

Does Cull delete my photos?

Only if you ask it to. Cull never deletes anything automatically. When you select items and tap Delete, iOS shows its own confirmation prompt. Deleted items go to the Recently Deleted album where they can be recovered for 30 days.

Is Cull free?

The core experience is free: treemap with flat and by-type grouping, browse view with media type filtering, dashboard, and single-item deletion. Cull Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks batch delete, thumbnail mode, colour and date grouping, and format and storage location filters.

Does it work with iCloud Photo Library?

Yes. Cull detects which assets are on-device, iCloud-only, or both. You can filter by storage location to focus on what's actually taking up space on your device.

Does Cull upload my photos anywhere?

No. All processing happens on your device. Cull has no server, no analytics, and no network access. Your photos never leave your device.

Why does Cull need write access to my photo library?

Write access is required by iOS to perform deletions. Cull never modifies your photos — it only uses write access to delete items you explicitly select and confirm.
